Affilation

Kurseong College is a Government aided institute of the state of West Bengal and affiliated to the University of North Bengal. The terms of appointment of teaching and non-teaching staffs and their salaries are governed by the guidelines framed by the Govt. of West Bengal. The overall academic matters are controlled by the University of North Bengal.

Apart from that the college is included under Section 2(f)/12(B) of UGC Act 1956. The University Grants Commission (UGC) provides financial assistance to eligible colleges which are included under Section 2(f) and declared fit to receive central assistance (UGC grant) under Section 12 (B) of UGC Act, 1956 as per approved pattern of assistance under various schemes. This makes Kurseong College eligible for central assistance from the Government of India or any organization receiving funds from the Central Government.
